At a young age, I became captivated by sports.I loved the way that sports could connect, while also polarizing people. I played three sports through high school, but I was always drawn to basketball a bit more than the rest. Having had the experience of being an athlete in my younger years molded many of my mentalities and approaches to work ethic, leadership, teamwork, and drive. As much as I came to love playing and experiencing that side of sport, I discovered the real place in which I thrive was from the outside looking in.

ATHLETE
At a young age, I became captivated by sports. I loved the way that sports could connect, while also polarize. I played on three teams through high school, but I was always drawn to basketball a bit more than the rest. Through my experience as an athlete, I now look back and see how greatly it helped me to develop my work ethic, coachability, and approach to adversity. I loved playing and experiencing sports from this perspective, but I came to discover that my real passion came from being on the outside, watching and absorbing the games as they unfolded.
FAN
The fluidity of the game of Basketball always felt like my personal favorite style of poetry. I grew up with deep connections to the game at the College level. Raised in Syracuse, NY, with a father an alumnus of the school, I became familiar with the distinctive style of coaching that Jim Boeheim has been bringing to the Orange for years. Some of my favorite childhood memories were molded around being in the infamous Carrier Dome and watching games with my family, who are all passionate fans. I also became familiar with just how polarizing the microcosm of sport is. I have been a lifelong UNC fan, having developed a stronger liking of the coaching style of Roy Williams and a consistent appreciation for recruiting classes year after year. These relationships that I grew up with, between College Basketball and the people around me, molded me to aspire for a career in the sporting world.
INNOVATOR
In my later years of High School, I made the decision to continue my education at Emerson College in Boston, MA. When I was growing up in Upstate NY, I always felt that my passions for both people and sports would lead me towards a more urban style of life. This, in addition to Emerson’s stellar Communications reputation, drew me to choose the school as the next place to expand my horizons. It was here that I started watching sports with a new lens (literally). I began photographing games and creating content for my school's teams, but the best part about it was that it was also a way for me to connect with people. I was able to show people the game the way I had always seen it and studied it. And in doing so, I was able to introduce people to a huge part of me. It was also here at Emerson that I began to delve into the worlds or marketing and PR, completing internships in both fields before the time I graduated.
